About Marian

Hi! My name is Marian, like Maid Marian in Robin Hood, not Maryann off of Gilligan's Island. ;) I'm thankful you took the time to stop by my little corner of the internet to see my work. I'm an artist who finds inspiration in the enchanting world of creativity.

Originally hailing from the quaint rural town of Springfield, South Carolina, where my love of art was nursed amidst the idyllic surroundings of my upbringing. Currently residing in the Middle Georgia area, I am blessed with the unwavering support from my loving husband, two wonderful kids and a Yorkie. My artistic focus lies in the realm of expressive florals and whimsical portraits. While I may not possess formal training in the fine arts, I have honed my skills over a lifetime of dedication and passion. I've delved into a world of learning, seeking inspiration from contemporary artists through online platforms and attending a handful of invigorating in-person workshops. As a result, my art has found its way into collections spanning from Los Angeles to New York and everywhere in between.

Life has thrown its share of challenges my way, from my parents' divorce when I was only nine to the heartbreaking loss of my father at the tender age of twelve. Through it all, painting has become my sanctuary, keeping me grounded and offering solace in times of turmoil. Beyond being a spiritual practice, it serves as a therapeutic outlet and a testament to my unwavering passion. I choose to paint joy, even amidst life's struggles, and take immense pleasure in sharing that joy with others.
